Created by Geoff Hamilton for BBC Gardeners' World, Barnsdale Gardens, in Rutland, is Britain's largest collection of individually designed gardens. With over 38 individual gardens in an 8 acre site, there’s plenty to see and do. The inspiring range of garden styles and planting schemes have been referred to as a ‘theme park for gardeners’.

 The Beth Chatto gardens began in 1960 when the site was an overgrown wasteland between to farms. Faced with all kinds of difficult conditions Beth and the late Andrew Chatto set out to find homes for many of the plants they wished to grow. With dry and damp soil in both sun and shade, they were able to put into practice the underlying principles of what is now referred to as "Ecological gardening".

Highclere Castle is one of England’s most beautiful Victorian Castles set amidst 1,000 acres of spectacular parkland.

At the height of summer, one of the world’s most famous royal palaces plays host to the sumptuous Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.

Audley End remains one of England’s grandest country homes with over 30 lavishly decorated rooms to enjoy and explore.

Built in 1870 by the Prince and Princess of Wales (later King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra), Sandringham has been passed down as a private home through four generations of British monarchs, and is now the country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. 

Leeds Castle has been a Norman stronghold; the private property of six of England’s medieval queens; a palace used by Henry VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon; a Jacobean country house; a Georgian mansion; an elegant early 20th century retreat for the influential and famous; and in the 21st century, it has become one of the most visited historic buildings in Britain.

Sandringham Flower Show is one of the most prestigious horticultural events in the East of England. Many of the region's leading nurseries exhibit there, and the Show features in addition show gardens by leading designers, some 200 trade stands, a craft marquee and arena entertainment.
