This Lake District break based in Grange over Sands promises to be a lively pre- Christmas break, with lots of activities and entertainment for you to enjoy.
Monday: After collecting you from our local pick-up points we make our way to our hotel. We have tea or coffee on arrival whilst our luggage is taken to our rooms. We can enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly or sherry before dinner this evening which will be followed by entertainment in the hotel.
Tuesday: We take a trip into the lake District today, after visiting Windermere we take a cruise on Lake Windermere and visit the Lakeland Motor Museum at Backbarrow.
Wednesday: Today we visit Kendal, with its little narrow yards and lanes to explore, maybe pick up one of the famous energy bars developed for the Everest conquest – Kendal Mint Cake before returning to the hotel for our “Christmas Day”. A traditional Christmas dinner awaits us, with coffee and Mince Pies in the bar and live entertainment later.
Thursday: After breakfast we make our way to Blackpool for some festive cheer as we see the sights and wonderful Christmas decorations.
Friday: Our festive break draws to an end and we start the homeward journey. En-route we visit Barton Grange Garden Centre. If ever a Garden Centre had the ‘wow factor’ this is it! With stunning indoor displays, an all-weather plant area, a Farm Shop, Cook Shop and fabulous food, you’ll find lots of ideas and inspiration. After our visit here we make our way back home.
The Cumbria Grand hotel is set in 20 acres of garden and woodlands overlooking Morecambe Bay. The hotel is in a fabulous location just 15 minutes walk from Grange over Sands. All rooms are furnished in a traditional and elegant style and the spacious restaurant offers fabulous views, there is also a large bar area. Facilities include Freeview T.V, a hairdryer and tea/ coffee making facilities, An Ironing board and iron are available on request, the hotel also has a lift.
We have reduced our seating capacity on board our coaches. This could mean the seat numbers on your booking confirmation might change. Families/groups will be seated together, with spacing between groups to allow social distancing. Please ensure that you remain in your allocated seats for the duration of your holiday, you will not be permitted to occupy empty seats. If you’re travelling alone, you are guaranteed to be seated at the window with an empty seat to the side of you. The front row seats behind the driver will not be occupied for the duration of your holiday. However, the front seats on the entrance door side of the coach will be used.
