Enjoy a relaxing New Year break with a leisurely itinerary plus nightly entertainment and a special Gala dinner followed by music and dancing to see in the New Year.
Wednesday: After collecting you from your local pick up point, we journey across the Solent via ferry to our hotel on the Isle of Wight where a welcome cup of tea/coffee awaits us whilst our luggage is transferred to our rooms. This evening we have a welcome reception with a glass of bubbly before dinner.
Thursday (New Year’s Eve): After a leisurely breakfast we depart for a visit to Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s palatial holiday home on the Isle of Wight. We see Victoria and Albert's private apartments, their bathing beach and children's play-cottage for an intimate glimpse of royal family life. Ornate furnishings and artefacts from The Royal Collection fill rooms and corridors from where Victoria ruled the vast British Empire and entertained heads of state, inventors, princes and princesses. This evening there will be a special New Year’s Eve Gala dinner followed by music and dancing until late including Champagne at midnight to welcome in the New Year.
Friday (New Year’s Day): Today you may like to join in with the precious pebble search or the fun ramble organised locally. Coffee, cake and the lucky winner’s prize giving is at 3pm in the hotel. Alternatively the coach will be available to transport those that wish on a short tour of the island.
Saturday: After an enjoyable and relaxing New Year we check-out of the hotel and make our way back home to East Anglia.
The Royal Esplanade Hotel is located in a superb seaside location close to the promenade in the heart of the pretty resort of Ryde. The hotel restaurant overlooks the promenade with separate bar and lounge areas, it does have a lift but there are steps into the hotel and to access some rooms.
We have reduced our seating capacity on board our coaches. This could mean the seat numbers on your booking confirmation might change. Families/groups will be seated together, with spacing between groups to allow social distancing. Please ensure that you remain in your allocated seats for the duration of your holiday, you will not be permitted to occupy empty seats. If you’re travelling alone, you are guaranteed to be seated at the window with an empty seat to the side of you. The front row seats behind the driver will not be occupied for the duration of your holiday. However, the front seats on the entrance door side of the coach will be used.
A full list of the measures we are taking to safeguard you whilst on holiday will be sent to you upon booking or can be requested in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling our office on 01379 647300.
