South Devon and the English Riviera with its classic seaside resorts, stunning scenery and picturesque villages, is a favourite place with our passengers to holiday in the UK.
Monday: From our local departure points we start our journey to Paignton on the English Riviera. We are welcomed with a cup of tea or coffee on arrival at our hotel.
Tuesday: Today we travel to Brixham a traditional fishing port, with pretty colour-washed cottages and narrow winding streets. Rows of colourful boats can be found in its beautiful harbour, including a replica of Sir Francis Drake’s Golden Hind, the vessel he used to circumnavigate the globe.
Wednesday: Our visit today takes us on a sea and train adventure. We board the boat in Torquay for our sea voyage to Dartmouth, with time to explore the historic town of Dartmouth. We then take the foot passenger ferry across the river to Kingswear station, where you might indulge in a Devonshire Cream Tea in the Belle Bistro (cost not included), before boarding the steam train for a relaxing journey back to Paignton.
Thursday: This morning, we join the coach for a picturesque tour through Dartmoor National Park, famous for its ponies and stunning scenery. We return to the hotel for leisure time in which you can discover the delights of Paignton or enjoy the facilities at our hotel.
Friday: This morning, we check-out of the hotel and make our way home to East Anglia.
The Redcliffe Hotel has a prime spot on the seafront with a 400 metre water frontage. The restaurant and the sun terrace both have sea views for you to enjoy. The hotel has a lift and rooms are equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Complimentary leisure facilities include an indoor pool, spa pool, sauna and steam room.
We have reduced our seating capacity on board our coaches. This could mean the seat numbers on your booking confirmation might change. Families/groups will be seated together, with spacing between groups to allow social distancing. Please ensure that you remain in your allocated seats for the duration of your holiday, you will not be permitted to occupy empty seats. If you’re travelling alone, you are guaranteed to be seated at the window with an empty seat to the side of you. The front row seats behind the driver will not be occupied for the duration of your holiday. However, the front seats on the entrance door side of the coach will be used.
A full list of the measures we are taking to safeguard you whilst on holiday will be sent to you upon booking or can be requested in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling our office on 01379 647300.
