At Simonds, we are doing all we can to protect our passengers during the pandemic. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch. If possible, please try and plan to travel at quieter times.
From 15th June 2020, face coverings are required while using public transport in England, except for specific exemptions, explained on the gov.uk website. Anyone who ignores this rule and who is not exempt, could face a fine of up to £200.
Social Distancing “onboard ”:
Please avoid sitting close to other passengers, other than members of your own household. Avoid facing other passengers and standing. Some seats will be block1ed off to maintain social distancing.
If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
A high temperature
A new, continuous dry cough
A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
YOU MUST NOT travel on our services, you must seek a test for coronavirus immediately, visit www.nhs.uk/coronavirus to find out more.
Our buses are thoroughly cleaned every night by our professional cleaners, with all contact points being sanitised. In addition to frequent cleaning, routine disinfecting/ sanitising treatment of all work areas is carried out by trained members of staff using an ‘atmospheric sanitiser & deodoriser’. Simonds are using a British standard product called X-Mist.
Contactless Travel: No cash where possible please!
To help reduce the spread of the virus and protect you, our passengers and colleagues on board we kindly ask you to not pay with cash if possible. We have installed new ticket machines to enable you to using contactless payment methods, To avoid handling cash, go contactless and pay either with a contactless card, Google or Apple Pay.
