Day by day
- Day 1
Thursday
From our local pick-up points, we travel to our hotel in the beautiful Lake District. On arrival, tea and coffee will be served while our team takes care of delivering your cases to your rooms. There will then be time to settle in, relax and make yourself comfortable before we come together for dinner.
- Day 2
Friday
After breakfast, we begin our exploration of the Lake District with a scenic drive through the roads of Grizedale Forest Park, continuing to the charming town of Ambleside, where we pause to enjoy the surroundings. We then head north, travelling alongside the stunning Lake Thirlmere, before arriving in Keswick. Known as the thriving main town of the northern Lake District, Keswick offers a wonderful selection of independent shops, cafés and restaurants to explore. The afternoon is free for you to spend at leisure; perhaps relaxing at the hotel or enjoying the festive atmosphere, before dinner in the evening.

Saturday: Happy Christmas!
Enjoy a leisurely Christmas morning with breakfast at the hotel. There will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the facilities, or perhaps take a gentle stroll and admire the beautiful surroundings. Later, we come together to enjoy Christmas lunch before further time to relax and enjoy the festive celebrations. This evening, a light buffet dinner will be served, allowing you to unwind and enjoy a peaceful Christmas evening.

Sunday
After breakfast, we make our way to nearby Bowness- on-Windermere, situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Windermere. One of the Lake District’s most popular destinations, Bowness offers lovely lakeside views and plenty of opportunities to browse the shops and enjoy the atmosphere. We then continue to the charming town of Ambleside. Predominantly Victorian in character, Ambleside is bursting with character and offers a wonderful selection of shops, including those specialising in arts, crafts and outdoor activities.

Monday
After breakfast, it is time to say farewell to the Lake District as we depart our hotel and begin our journey home to East Anglia.

Newby Bridge Hotel
Located at the tranquil southern end of Lake Windermere the Newby Bridge Hotel is perfect for exploring what the Southern Lake District has to offer. The hotel offers plenty of space in which to relax including the Huntsman’s Bar offering a traditional, Cumbrian, warm and cosy atmosphere with wooden beams and panelling and of course a roaring fire on those colder days, a games room and traditional lounge with sofas and board games as well as leisure facilities including a swimming pool, steam room, spa pool & mini gym. All 45 bedrooms are equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel does not have a lift; however, ground floor rooms are available.
