Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Monday

Sit back and relax as we travel from local pick-up points to Llanberis. On arrival at our hotel, enjoy a welcome tea or coffee while your luggage is taken to your room.

  2. Day 2

    Tuesday

This morning we visit Caernarfon Castle, recognised around the world as one of the greatest buildings of the Middle Ages and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first fortification began in the 11th century and took 47 years to complete along with the town and quay. Next we enjoy a scenic drive to Betws-y-Coed, North Wales’ most popular inland resort set in the Gwydir Forest. We enjoy time at leisure for lunch here before returning to our hotel and the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

  3. Day 3

    Wednesday

At 3,560ft, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is the highest mountain in England and Wales. We take a ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway for a journey to “the rooftop of Wales” and, weather permitting, we will have spectacular views. The Visitor Centre has a gift shop and café where we have plenty of time to look around.

  4. Day 4

    Thursday

This morning, we travel to the Isle of Anglesey and nearby Beaumaris with its medieval castle, lovely beach and Victorian pier. Here we have free time to wander at our own pace and find a friendly spot for lunch. Afterwards, we head to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch to explore this historic village famous for its name followed by a scenic drive to Halen Môn (Anglesey Sea Salt), set on the banks of the Menai Straits, for a guided tour. We learn about how the sea salt – Welsh Gold – is made into the edible condiment, from the first batch on a family Aga in 1997, to modern day production.

  5. Day 5

    Friday

After breakfast, we bid farewell to Snowdonia and begin our journey home to East Anglia, with plenty of comfort stops en route.
