Travel to Chester, arriving at The Queen at Chester Hotel in the late afternoon. Settle into your room and enjoy dinner as our festive break begins.

Tuesday
This morning we travel to Liverpool, where you’ll have free time to soak up the festive atmosphere of the city’s Christmas Market. Browse the seasonal stalls for gifts and treats, explore the shops at Liverpool ONE or enjoy some time discovering the city centre. This afternoon, we take to the water for a relaxing cruise along the River Mersey. Sit back and enjoy spectacular views of Liverpool’s famous waterfront and skyline, including the iconic Three Graces, while discovering the city’s rich maritime heritage.

Wednesday
Today is yours to explore historic Chester at leisure. Wander through the city’s Christmas Market and enjoy the sights, scents and flavours of the festive season, browse the unique two-tiered Rows or take a stroll along Chester’s ancient city walls. With its beautiful architecture, independent shops and welcoming cafés, there is plenty to discover before we return to the hotel in the late afternoon with time to relax before dinner.

Thursday
This morning we visit Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, giving you the perfect opportunity for some last-minute Christmas shopping across its wide selection of stores. Later, we return to the hotel for a traditional cream tea, with scones, jam and clotted cream accompanied by tea or coffee. Afterwards, enjoy some time to relax at the hotel before our final evening meal.

Friday
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Chester and begin our journey home, taking with us plenty of festive memories from our Christmas getaway.
