Sunday: From local pick-up points we travel down to Kent with comfort stops along the way. On arrival we are welcomed with tea or coffee whilst our bags are taken to our rooms. We arrive with time to unpack and relax before dinner.

Monday: This morning after a breakfast we will make our way to the historic spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, for time at leisure to browse the specialist shops and open-air cafes, before we make our way to Penshurst Place the residence of the Sidney family for over 460 years. Here we discover the charm of the State Rooms, Gardens, and Parkland, before returning to our hotel.

Tuesday: Today we visit the scenic North Kent coast, passing through the lovely seaside resorts of Whitstable, Herne Bay and Margate to name a few. We pause to enjoy some of these coastal towns as we pass through them before returning to the hotel for our evening meal.

Wednesday: Our excursion today is to the National Trust’s Sissinghurst Castle Gardens where we see the beautiful gardens with vibrant colour schemes and rich herbaceous boarders, the vegetable garden and fairytale tower, creating the epitome of an English garden. Later this afternoon we take a journey on the Kent & East Sussex Railway, enjoying the unspoilt countryside of the Rother Valley before returning to our hotel for dinner.

Thursday: After breakfast we visit Historic Rochester, which nestles against the bank of the River Medway. It is home to the second oldest Cathedral, the tallest Norman Castle and has connections to Charles Dickens, we have free time here to explore, before making our way back home to East Anglia.
