73 diversion

Due to CityFibre works taking place along Fen Road in Pakenham, the road will be closed from Thursday 5th May to Thursday 28th May. During this time, services will be unable to serve stops in Pakenham, with services only being able to stop at the 4-way junction of Thurston Road/Pakenham Road/The Street. We have tried to work with CityFibre to allow access for our services through part of this closure, but have been unsuccessful. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Service changes - 13th April 2026

We’re introducing several changes to our local bus network, effective from Monday 13th April 2026, in partnership with Suffolk County Council in order to enhance connections across the communities that we serve.

From this date, the 110/112/113/114 corridor linking Diss & Eye into Ipswich via Mendlesham or Debenham will see significant changes in order to simplify our offering to customers. All services between Diss & Eye will operate as service 75 (replacing 112) and 75A (replacing 110). All services between Eye & Ipswich will operate as service 74 (replacing 114) and 74A (replacing 113). All journeys have had their timetables & travel times changed to ensure a more even spread of services throughout the day and improve punctuality, including slightly later departure times from Ipswich & Diss. Services will also continue to extend to One Sixth Form College, Ipswich Rail Station and various schools along the route at relevant times.

We are also proud to announce the launch of brand new service 482, which will link from Diss to Framlingham, via the new Castleton Grange development in Eye then along the B1117 to Stradbroke and onto Framlingham. There will be morning & evening services to allow connections from Stradbroke onto Ipswich Buses 118/119 services to/from Suffolk Rural College & Ipswich, as well as three daytime services each way per day for off-peak travel. This service is supported by Suffolk County Council, through HM Government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan funding.

Timetables, route maps and fare guides on the above changes, alongside our other local bus services can be found at: https://www.simonds.co.uk/local-bus-services
