Local Bus Service Update due to Storm Ciaran
Services 112/113/114 (Diss/Ipswich)- Currently suspended
Service 2 (Diss- Norwich) Currently normal service
Services 304 (Diss/Bury St Edmunds)- Currently being monitored - an update to follow
We are currently unable to serve the following villages: Wortham,Magpie Green, Redgrave and Hinderlclay
Service 337 - Due to school closures this service has been suspended and will not operate this afternoon.
Service 338- Due to flooding the buses are going to divert from Pakenham via Ixworth direct to Stanton.
Stowlangtoft, Hunston, Badwell Ash and Walsham le Willows will not be served.
Service 584 (Long Stratton/Pulhams/Diss)- Currently normal service
Service 17 (Diss Town Service)- Currently normal service
Service 581 (Diss/Beccles)- Currently normal service
All services are subject to review and excessive delays are expected.

Bus Fare Price Cap Further Extension
Following the recent announcement by the Government on the 4th October 2023 the current £2.00 bus fare cap introduced to help with the on-going financial crisis has been extended further until 31st December 2024.
So, you the passenger can now enjoy your bus journey for less than your daily cup of coffee.

In line with other local bus service operators, Simonds Countrylink are introducing a fare change across all local bus services.
From 3rd September 2023, child and youth fare tickets will be combined to one simple fare ticket.
The new ticket/ fare will be called a ’Young Person’ fare.
Please note: The £2.00 fare cap still applies until October 2023 when it will be revised to £2.50 until end of November 2024.
The fare calculator on our website will be updated in due course and may be unavailable.

£2.00 Fare Cap on Local Bus Services
As part of the "Help for households"campaign designed to support families through the cost of living pressures the Government is introducing a Bus Fare Cap scheme with passengers paying less to travel by bus this winter.
Simonds Countrylink will be participating in the scheme which means a single journey on all qualifying local bus services* will cost no more than £2.00. The scheme will run from 1st Janaury to 31st March 2023

Reopening of St Stephens Street, Norwich (Services 1, 2 37A)
For services dropping off in the city centre, our services will use Stop BF in St Stephens Street and Stop CB in Castle Meadow.
For services travelling out of Norwich, our services will use Stop CR on Castle Meadow and Stop BN on St Stephens Street.

It has been announced that the State Funeral of HRH Queen Elizabeth II will take place on Monday 19th September at 11am. This day has also been declared as a public Bank Holiday.
Our local bus services will not operate and our office/garage will be closed on Monday 19th September as we pay our respects to our Late Queen.
Business will return to normal on Tuesday 20th September.

Route 371 - East Harling to Diss High School (term time only)
We are pleased to advise commencing the new school term in September 2022 we will be operating the 371 starting at 07:45 Roudham Road, Larling via East Harling 07:50, Kenninghall 07:57, Banham 08:03, Winfarthing 08:10 and Shelfanger 08:15 arriving at Diss High School at 08:25.
The service will operate during term times only until Easter 2023. We look forward to welcoming you on board.

Service 581 - Harleston Road Improvements
From Monday 1st August 2022 until Nov 2022
All local buses will enter Harleston via Redenhall Road, then travel around Station Road before re-joining Redenhall Road.
Please check the destination board before boarding as all buses will collect from the same side of the road.
We will aim to collect as per timetable for Harleston. Please see the map for possible bus stops, these stops will be dependent on parked vehicles. Please flag down the bus and the driver will stop at the safest place.

Transport for Norwich
St Stephens Street Redevelopment.
As from 8th Jan 2022 St Stephens Street, Norwich will be under-going an upgrade for approx 8 months.
During this time bus stops in St Stephens will be temporarily suspended.
Buses will still serve St Stephens Road, Castle Meadow and Thorpe Station but will not be able to drop off/pick up passengers in St Stephens Street.
Passengers wishing to travel back to on Service 1,2,37A (Diss/ Long Stratton direction) should use Castle Meadow Stand CV or the Bus stop on St Stephens Road opp. The Grill House.
Thank you for your understanding whilst refurbishment works takes place.
