Sunday: We make our way to Portsmouth for the short ferry crossing to Fishbourne. On arrival at the hotel, enjoy a welcome drink whilst luggage is taken to our rooms.

Monday: Today gives you the opportunity to explore Ryde at your leisure or take the nearby public transport to one of the other resorts or small towns around the island.

Tuesday: All aboard the coach for an island tour of around 60 miles, taking in the gorgeous scenery, quaint villages and spectacular coastline of the Isle of Wight. We include a visit to one of the most famous landmarks, The Needles and Trinity Lighthouse with its amazing ocean views.

Wednesday: Today we take a journey on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, your ticket also includes admission to Havenstreet Station and the Train Story Discovery Centre. We might be lucky enough to catch one of the free Haven Falconry flying displays, before we relax and enjoy a leisurely trip with unique views of some of the island’s unspoilt countryside.

Thursday: We visit Osborne House the seaside palace of Queen Victoria today. Inside the house, we explore private apartments and grand reception rooms. Outside, we can wander among flower-filled gardens, discover the quirky museum in the Swiss Cottage and relax on the beach where the royal children learnt to swim.

Friday: After breakfast we depart the hotel and make our way back home to East Anglia.

The Royal Esplanade Hotel is located close to the promenade in the heart of the lively resort of Ryde. The hotel has regular entertainment, a restaurant overlooking the promenade and a separate bar and lounge. There is a lift but there are steps into the hotel and to access some rooms. All bedrooms have a TV, hairdryer, toiletries, and tea/coffee making facilities.
