Our base for this early autumn break is Torquay on the English Riviera in Devon, famed for its classic seaside resorts, stunning scenery, and picturesque villages, this hotel is a favorite with our passengers, and we hope to enjoy some fine weather before winter arrives.
Monday: We start our journey down to Torquay on the English Riviera, from the local pick-up points. On our arrival at the hotel, we are welcomed with a cup of tea or coffee.
Tuesday: Today we see what South Devon offers, as we head out to explore our journey takes us through the picturesque Dartmoor National Park and its market towns.
Wednesday: After breakfast we make our way to the colourful seaside resort of Paignton, on the Torbay coast. Here we will board the Dartmouth Steam Railway for a journey to Kingswear taking in the beautiful scenic Devonshire countryside along the way. From here we catch the foot passenger ferry to the historic maritime town of Dartmouth. We have free time here before making our way back to the hotel.
Thursday: Today is spent at leisure to enjoy the facilities available at the hotel or discover what Torquay has to offer. A stroll along the promenade or a visit to the princess pier or gardens. Why not indulge in a Devonshire cream tea?
Friday: After breakfast we will depart the hotel and make our way back to East Anglia. We will make comfort stops along the way.
