Monday: After collection from our local pick-up points, we travel south to our hotel.
Tuesday: Today will be free to explore Eastbourne at leisure, renowned for its seafront, parks and gardens, Eastbourne also has splendid shopping, perhaps a visit to the charming and quaint old Victorian shopping streets of Little Chelsea, on the outskirts of Eastbourne town centre where you can browse the independent shops including antiques, books, cafes and boutiques.
Wednesday: This morning we board our coach for a scenic tour along the coast including Beachy Head where the dramatic 530 foot high cliffs give stunning views over Eastbourne and the English Channel. We journey on through part of the South Downs, before returning to the hotel.
Thursday: Today we travel along the coast to the horrified hilltop town of Rye. Once surrounded by sea, Rye played an important role in the defence of the south coast of England. There’s an opportunity to explore the enchanting cobbled streets, secret passages and beautifully preserved houses from the Medieval, Tudor and Georgian times. In the afternoon, we travel the short distance to Hastings, with more passages and narrow streets to explore.
Friday: This morning it is time to leave our hotel and make our way home to East Anglia with ample comfort stops along the way.
